Benchmark Outfitter's Benefit Comp

Dyno Comp and more at Rocktoberfest 2009This September 26 in Cincinnati, at RockQuest Climbing Center, Benchmark Outfitter is putting together a climbing competition to benefit the RRGCC. Starting at 5pm, climbers will compete for excellent prizes from vendors like The Benchmark Outfitter, Sterling Ropes, Arc'Teryx, and La Sportiva. And while they're pulling down, the $25 entrance fee will go to support the RRGCC in our mission to secure the PMRP.

Don't miss out on a great chance to have a blast and support the Coaltion at the same time! For more information, call 513-791-WILD (9453). Or check them out: Benchmark Outfitters on Facebook.

Rocktoberfest Volunteers

We can't do Rocktoberfest on our own - we need your help. We are asking for your t-shirt size in advance this year to help cut down on excess ordering. There will be women's and men's t-shirts, so just select the size you'd like. Please sign up soon to guarantee your shirt in your size!

Thank you again for your help and support. The RRGCC would not be here if it wasn't for you!

Johnny and Alex Trail Day 2009 Success

JATD 2009On August 1, the Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition hosted its most successful trail day event in its 13 year history. Over 90 people came together to lend their skills and talent to developing new trails and rehabbing existing pathways on the Pendergrass-Murray Recreational Preserve. The trail day most certainly ranks as one of the largest Access Fund sponsored Adopt-A-Crag events in 2009!

Need a Cabin? Or a guide?

JATD 2009If you're just getting into climbing or looking for a guide to show you around the Red, check out Red River Outdoors. They'll be able to put you outfit you with the right guides, take you to the right places, and put a smile on your face at the end of the day. And if you're looking for something a little less vertical, check out their paintball fields.

Looking for a place to crash for the weekend? How about a cabin on-site? What if the entire cost went as a donation to the RRGCC? If this sounds like the plan you're looking for, email us at cabins@rrgcc.org. The cabins sleep about four and cost $125/night (all of which goes towards the PMRP's mortgage).
